About
Why did we launch Arlio?

Our founders began their journey managing a UK-based offshore windfarm platform launched by a global investment bank. The expectations were clear from day one - keep employees working no matter what and keep the business safe from advanced cyber security threats.

Over the next four years, our founders achieved results that spoke for themselves and learnt a lot about what it means to deliver IT services for a high demanding business. But success brought new questions: If we could deliver this level of service in such a demanding environment, why couldn’t other businesses in our industry have the same? Are other renewable energy businesses within the UK being left behind?

We founded Arlio to bring the same level of service and cybersecurity to the renewable energy industry. Our mission is simple: to be a partner you can trust. This means delivering the service you expect, maintaining security standards we won't compromise on, and being your go-to expert who provides honesty and advice.

At Arlio, our story is still being written—every client we work with becomes part of it.

What does our name mean?

Our name is made up of two words which is Arlo and IO.
The word Arlo can be traced back to Old English and generally refers to a fortified hill. Modern interpretations highlight Arlo's connotations with qualities like strength, simplicity, and a sense of grounding.

In the world of technology IO refers to the on and off state of a silicon transistor, the building blocks of the digital age.

Hence Arlio symbolises what we ultimately want to deliver: a strong, reliable, technology platform in which to run your business, project or asset.
